Can Brown Ratchet follow in her brother's international footsteps? The 2-year-old filly, sired by Kizuna, is set to make her debut on Monday in Nakayama Racecourse's Race 6 Newcomers (1800m turf). She is a half-sister to Forever Young, the G2 UAE Derby winner and G1 Kentucky Derby third-place finisher. While her brother has excelled on dirt, Brown Ratchet is poised to showcase her talent on turf.

Her rider, Nabata, remarked, "She still has some mental imbalances typical of 2-year-old fillies, but we're careful with her. Though small in stature, she has a beautiful stride and moves with a fluidity that feels great to ride."

Veteran jockey Christophe Lemaire will take the reins, with high hopes riding on her performance. "She's got the potential to be top-class. Hopefully, she can follow in her brother's footsteps," Nabata added.
