Leading Japanese contender for the GI Dubai Golden Shaheen (25th, UAE Meydan) Red Le Zele, went through his paces in a final piece of strong work on the dirt course in Mayden today. Setting off 2000m from home, he turned up the speed as he went through the furlongs and ran out strongly to the line.

The rider Fujimaki, also the assistant trainer for Red Le Zele, commented, "Even though he is 7YO, he is so energetic, especially in the home stretch. He's telling me he wants to do more, even after the line, so I think he will start nice and fresh for the race."
