Ushba Tesoro produced an unbelievable effort in the Meydan home straight to win the Dubai World Cup, completing a Japanese treble on Dubai WC Day. Guided by the 'King' Kawada, Ushba Tesoro broke slowly and was settled at the rear. When Kawada picked him up in the home straight, he responded perfectly and took command from his outside position. He ultimately caught up to Algiers with 150m to run and won by 2 3/4 lengths. The winning time was 2:03.25.

Emblem Road came home in third and race favourite Country Grammar finished seventh.

Ushba Tesoro is a son of Orfevre out of Millefeui Attach, by King Kamehameha. This was his fifth consecutive win, a sequence which started with a win in the Listed Brazil Cup back in 2022. He became the second Japanese horse to win the Dubai WC, joining 2011 winner Victoire Pisa.
