Urban Chic, riding high after his first graded stakes victory in the St Lite Kinen, has drawn barrier 13 for his next race on the 17th, the G1 Kikuka Sho. Trainer Ryo Takei commented, "I would have preferred an inside draw, but I trust the jockey completely, so I just want them to do their best," placing his full confidence in the talented Christophe Lemaire.

Takei also noted, "He hasn't made any dramatic improvements since his last race, but having had that run, he's become more powerful. The cooler weather has also been beneficial, and there are no concerns at all."
