Fourth favourite, Jun Blossom claimed his first graded stakes victory in the G2 Fuji Stakes by saving ground in mid-pack and powering home with a strong late charge on the outside. The race ended with the favoured Soul Rush finishing second, while ninth favourite Logi Leon took third place. The second favourite Serifos came in fourth. The winning time was 1:32.1.
Jockey Keita Tosaki commented, "I thought the starting barrier might be a bit of a challenge, but the horse broke well, and we were able to execute the race better than I had imagined. We raced in a better position than expected and, like last time, he showed great finishing speed." With this win, Jun Blossom secures an automatic entry to the G1 Mile Championship (November 17, Kyoto). Tosaki added, "His stride has become smoother. I'm really looking forward to the G1 race."
