Second favourite Do Deuce surged with a powerful late charge from the far outside to clinch his fourth JRA G1 victory in the Tenno Sho (Autumn), his first since last year's Arima Kinen. In second place was 9th favourite Tastiera, while 8th favourite Ho O Biscuits claimed third. The pre-race favourite, Liberty Island, finished in a disappointing 13th place.

In a race in which he showcased his enduring strength, Do Deuce settled second from last against a moderate early pace. In the final stretch, he unleashed his sprint, swiftly closing from the outside to overtake the frontrunners, crossing the finish line 1 and 1/4 lengths ahead of the second-place finisher. This marked jockey Yutaka Take's seventh career win in the Tenno Sho (Autumn). He celebrated by repeatedly raising his right hand and pointing confidently at Do Deuce to the roaring crowd.

The veteran jockey, who guided Do Deuce to victory, said, "I'm incredibly happy. I made up my mind to rely on his final kick." Although the pace was slower than expected, he was relieved, noting, "I thought this was the only way." Reflecting on the race, he added, "We were able to unleash Do Deuce's true late speed, and I was confident. He's a strong horse. He's not always consistent, and I haven't always been able to guide him perfectly, so today I was determined to get a result."
