Favourite Emperor Wakea and Yuga Kawada win the G3 Musashino Stakes

Sent off favourite, Emperor Wakea with Yuga Kawada on board won the G3 Musashino Stakes at Tokyo Racecourse. Kazu Petrin finished second, a length behind the winner, and Perriere came home in third, a nose behind Kazu Petrin. The winning time was 1:36.0.
Emperor Wakea is a son of Lord Kanaloa out of Kara's Match Point, by Curlin. This is his second graded stakes title and victory earned him an automatic entry into the G1 Champions Cup. Winning jockey Yuga Kawada also reached a major milestone of 2100 JRA wins.
