Third favourite Stunning Rose was ridden to victory by Christian Demuro in Sunday's G1 Queen Elizabeth II Cup at Kyoto Racecourse. Ravel finished second, two lengths behind the winner, and Wholeness came home in third, 3/4 lengths behind Ravel. Favourite Regaleira finished fifth. The winning time was 2:11.1.
Stunning Rose is a daughter of King Kamehameha out of Rosa Blanca, by Kurofune. She won the G1 Shuka Sho in 2022, but after a slump and a breakdown, made an impressive comeback here to win her second G1 race. Jockey Christian Demuro was capturing his second Queen Elizabeth II Cup win, following Geraldina in 2022.
