Seventh favourite Arata, with Takuya Ohno on board, won Sunday's G3 Fukushima Kinen at Fukushima Racecourse. Verehrung finished second, one length behind the winner, and Dandyism came home in third, a half-length behind Verehrung. Favourite Doctor Dolittle finished seventh, whilst second favourite Fly Like Bird was tenth. The winning time was 2:00.7.

Arata is a son of King Kamehameha out of Sunshine, by Heart's Cry. At the 2021 Fukushima Kinen he finished third after four consecutive wins, and in 2022 he finished third despite being the favourite. However on this, his third attempt, he took victory and his first long-awaited title.
