Dubai World Cup hero Ushba Tesoro to challenge Breeders' Cup Classic

It has been revealed that six-year-old colt Ushba Tesoro, who won the Dubai World Cup with a stunning run, will be aimed at the G1 Breeders' Cup Classic at the end of this year. After he shocked the world to became the second Japanese-trained horse in history to win the Dubai feature, Ushba Tesoro will be ridden by jockey Yuga Kawada this autumn and start off in the NTV Cup (September 27th, Funabashi) as a stepping stone before heading to the US G1 BC Classic on November 4th at Santa Anita Park, California.

On the 18th, trainer Takagi said, "We plan to have one race domestically before going to the US. He will be able to participate in the NTV Cup with a weight of 58kg."
