Continuar and Derma Sotogake on track ahead of G1 Kentucky Derby

JRA released updates and comments on recent workouts and stall numbers from the team of two Japanese Kentucky Derby runners, Continuar and Derma Sotogake.
After Continuar cantered one circuit on the dirt at Churchill Downs, rider Ando reflected: "I was worried about the surface condition as it rained two days in a row but it was better than expected. We cantered around a circuit with Mandarin Hero and Continuar was very happy and focused."
Continuar will start from stall number 20.
Trainer Yoshito Yahagi commented on a stall number: "I feel like I am cursed with all the outside starts of our recent runners. 20 is not good at all. We only have a few options left as we plan for the race."
Derma Sotogake also cantered one circuit on dirt at Churchill, and his rider Segawa commented: "He is good as usual. Just did his job, nothing special."
Derma Sotogake will start from stall number 17.
Commenting on his stall number, rider Tanaka added: "I think we will be able to race smoothly as we will be able to observe the inside horses and secure a good position to travel in. He jumps quickly so we are not worried about the start."
