Ridden by Kazuo Yokoyama, Red Mon Reve won Saturday's G2 Keio Hai Spring Stakes gifting a first Graded Stakes winner to the ex-jockey and trainer Masayoshi Ebina. The pair were positioned in the back of the field and made a wide challenge up to Win Marvel in the last furlong to win the race by a half-length.

Daddy's Vivid came home in third after Win Marvel and the favourite of the race Danon Scorpion finished a disappointing 11th.

Red Mon Reve is a son of Lord Kanaloa out of Last Groove, by Deep Impact. It was a first Graded Stakes success for both Red Mon Reve and trainer Masayoshi Ebina.
