Boccherini, with Suguru Yamanaka on board, won Saturday's G3 Naruo Kinen at Hanshin Racecourse. The pair travelled in mid-field and Yamanaka brought Boccherini to the front at the home turn to press ahead of their rivals. Boccherini ultimately caught up to the leader Feengrotten, finishing a neck ahead to win the race.

Admire Hadar came home in third and the favourite of the race So Valiant finished a disappointing 12th.

Boccherini is a son of King Kamehameha out of Popcorn Jazz, by Dance In The Dark. His full brother, Lovely Day, also won this race back in 2015 and went on win the G1 Takarazuka Kinen.
