Made the pre-race favourite, Justin Cafe was guided by Kazuo Yokoyama to win the G3 Epsom Cup at Tokyo Racecourse on Sunday. The pair positioned in mid-field and when Yokoyama asked him to quicken his pace, he responded perfectly and caught up to Rouge Eveil in the last 100m, finishing one-and-a-quarter lengths ahead of her. Matenro Sky came home in third, a neck behind Rouge Eveil.

Justin Cafe is a son of Epiphaneia out of Casino Boogie, by Workforce. This is his first Graded stakes title, and comes after finishing second in G2 Mainichi Okan and G3 Lord Derby Challenge Cup.
