Obamburumai wins the Golden Eagle in Australia

Obamburumai, with Joshua Parr on board, won the Golden Eagle at Rose Hill Gardens in Australia on his first overseas excursion. The Golden Eagle was established in 2019, while it is not graded stakes contest, it is one of Australias most valuable races. Obamburumai was the first Japanese horse to run in this race and duly secured the title.

Winning jockey Parr commented "I was able to race as we planned. I know how hard it is to bring a horse to Australia and I wanted to give something back to the connections. Im delighted I could give back to them the best present possible and I am so happy for Japanese racing fans." Trainer Yoshimura commented "I only can say thank you to Obamburumai. He is such a tough horse to travel to the southern hemisphere and run so well."
