Yuga Kawada invited to compete in the Longines International Jockeys Championship

On December 13th, the JRA announced that jockey Yuga Kawada will compete in Longines International Jockeys Championship 2023 at Happy Valley Racecourse in the heart of Hong Kong on December 6th.
In addition, British jockey Tom Marquand and Hong Kong-based Zac Purton will be among the 12 jockeys competing. The international riders' event will be decided over four nighttime races, with 12 points awarded for first place, six points for second place, and four for third place. The jockey with the most points will be declared the winner. Each jockey's rides will be announced on December 4th.

Three other jockeys based in Hong Kong will be included in the lineup. The top two leading domestic jockeys and one other jockey from Hong Kong, excluding Z. Parton, as of the end of November 22nd are set to do battle for the lucrative and prestigious title.
