Saturday saw Iron Barows with Shu Ishibashi on board win the G2 Stayers Stakes at Nakayama Racecourse. T O Royal finished second, two-and-a-half lengths behind the winner, whilst Meiner Virtus came home in third a neck behind T O Royal. Sent off favourite, King's Reign finished fifth.

Iron Barows is a son of Orfevre out of Palace Rumor, by Royal Anthem. This is his first graded stakes title, which came not only at his 15th attempt at this level, but also his third appearance in the Stayers Stakes.
