Christophe Lemaire led Fierce Pride to the winner's circle in the G3 Turquoise Stakes at Nakayama Racecourse on Saturday. Sent off favourite, Fierce Pride finished one-and-a-quarter lengths ahead of Feel Sympathy and Miss New York came home in third a head behind Feel Sympathy. The winning time was 1:32.7.

Fierce Pride is a daughter of Deep Impact out of Strawberry Fair, by Kingmambo. This is her first graded stakes title, ans brings her career record to five wins from 16 starts.
