Yasunari Iwata guided Corepetiteur to his first graded stakes title in the G3 Kyoto Kimpai at Kyoto Racecourse on Saturday. Session came in second, a half-length behind the winner and the pre-race favourite Tudo de Bom finished third, a head behind Session. The winning time was 1:33.8.

Corepetiteur is a son of Just a Way out of Vegas Night, by Coronado's Quest. A 110th graded stakes title for winning jockey Iwata, it was also a first for Corepetiteur, a four-year-old entire.
