Highland Lynx seized his own bit of racing history by winning the seventh race at Kyoto Racecourse on Saturday. Since the Japan Racing Association started to record the data of payouts in 1986, Highland Lynx became the first horse to win a One Win Class race with a winning dividend of 1.1.

Winning jockey Ryusei Sakai commented "I knew I had to win this race. Yusuke Fujioka taught me her characteristics and that helped me a lot. I am glad to win this race and think she can win again."
