Epiphany with Makoto Sugihara on board won the G3 Kokura Daishoten in style at Kokura Racecourse on Sunday. Long Run finished second, a length behind the winner, and Selberg came home in third a half-length behind Long Run. Pre-race favourite Al Naseem finished fourth. The winning time was 1:45.1.

Epiphany is a son of Epiphaneia out of Rule Britannia, by Deep Impact. Coming back from his 11th finish in the G3 Nakayama Kimpai, the five-year-old grabbed his first graded stakes title.
