Yuga Kawada led Prognosis to a perfect win in the G2 Kinko Sho at Chukyo Racecourse. Sent-off favourite, Durezza finished second five lengths behind the winner and Yoho Lake came home in third, a length behind Durezza. The winning time was 1:57.6.

Prognosis is a son of Deep Impact out of Velda, by Observatory. This is his second consecutive Kinko Sho title, and with it he won a spot in the G1 Osaka Hai.
