Walzer Schall with Arata Saito on board won his first graded stakes in the G3 March Stakes at Nakayama Racecourse. Mitono O finished second one and a quarter length behind the winner and Peisha Es came home in third three lengths behind Mitono O. Sent-off favourite Brian Sense finished sixth. The winning time was 1:50.7.

Walzer Schall is a son of Makfi out of Baika Tarquin by Empire Maker. This is his second consecutive win and the first graded stakes title for his career.
