Jantar Mantar's final track work involved two runs up the slope course at Ritto Training Center, with the second run clocking 4F in 56.7 seconds, with splits of 40.9 seconds and 12.3 seconds. Trainer Takano explained, "We just wanted to keep him in good order. There was no need to push for fast times." He further expressed satisfaction, noting, "He moved energetically. His body is in great shape, and he shows good sharpness."
In the G1 Satsuki Sho, the pace was exceptionally fast, with a first half of 5F in 57.5 seconds. Despite this, Jantar Mantar maintained a bold run from third position, although his performance tapered slightly in the uphill section of the track, finishing a neck and a half-length behind the winner. Takano reflected, "He aimed for the win and finished third. I was concerned about him getting too tense, but he ran well. It feels like the results of our efforts paid off."
With a quick turnaround of just two weeks before heading to Tokyo again, Takano commented, "Fatigue isn't an issue, and he's very accustomed to travelling." He expressed his enthusiasm, saying, "I want to continue to excite the fans and receive positive feedback from them about our race." Jockey Yuga Kawada also added, "This is the most suitable stage for him. I hope he can run in his characteristic style." The reigning 2-year-old Champion aims to showcase his dominance and claim his second G1 title.
