Justin Milano to miss G1 Kikuka Sho and target G1 Tenno Sho (Autumn) instead

Wednesday, 10 July, 2024 21:30

Justin Milano, who finished second in the G1 Japanese Derby and won the G1 Satsuki Sho, is set to aim for the G1 Tenno Sho (Autumn) for his comeback race instead of the G1 Kikuka Sho, trainer Yasuo Tomomichi announced on the 9th.

Trainer Tomomichi explained, "We plan to go straight to the G1 Tenno Sho (Autumn). Given the summer heat, we'll take our time bringing him back. Considering the impact of running in the G1 Kikuka Sho and his distance suitability, this approach makes sense." After his last race, Justin Milano has been out to pasture and is focusing on refreshing for the autumn season.
