Sent-off favourite, Satono Carnaval with Daisuke Sasaki on board won the G3 Hakodate Nisai Stakes at Hakodate Racecourse on Saturday. Nishino Lavanda finished second, one and 1/4 lengths behind the winner, and Endless Summer came home in third a head behind Nishino Lavanda. The winning time was 1:09.2.

Satono Carnaval is a son of Kitasan Black out of Realisatrice, by Numerous. He remains unbeaten following his win in the Newcomers and won the first graded stakes for this two-year-old generation. Jockey Daisuke Sasaki also won his first JRA graded stakes title.
