Al Naseem and veteran jockey Norihiro Yokoyama won Sunday's G3 Chukyo Kinen at Kokura Racecourse. Epiphany finished second, a neck behind the winner, and pre-race favourite Elton Barows came home in third, a half-length behind Epiphany. The winning time was 1:47.2.

Al Naseem is a son of Maurice out of Jebel Ali, by Deep Impact. This is his first graded stakes title and the winning jockey Yokoyama extended his own record as the oldest JRA jockey to win a JRA graded stakes race.
