After a powerful workout that showed no signs of rust from a layoff, Dura Erede is set to make a comeback in the G3 Elm Stakes on Sunday at Hakodate Racecourse. The talented colt, who finished fifth in the G1 Dubai World Cup, completed a solo workout on July 31st, clocking 68.7 seconds for 5 furlongs, with final splits of 39.2 and 11.8 seconds. Jockey Terada noted, "Just like last week, we made sure to push him after the finish to keep him sharp. He feels much better now."

Dura Erede is known for his versatility, having won the G1 Hopeful Stakes on turf as a two-year-old, and placing third in both the G1 Champions Cup and G1 Tokyo Daishoten on dirt. Terada praised his running style, saying, "He combines power and agility, and he adapts incredibly well to different environments, both domestically and internationally."

The upcoming Elm Stakes will be his first G3 appearance and a critical step as he prepares for competitive dirt racing in the fall. "He's showing more depth in his stride compared to last week," Terada added. "He gives his all regardless of distance or track, and I'm confident he'll perform his best."

Returning to the track where he broke his maiden, Dura Erede aims to secure his first graded stakes win on dirt, setting the stage for a successful autumn campaign.
