Having passed the National Association of Racing jockey license exam, Futoshi Komaki will be returning to his roots at Hyogo Regional Racing. On July 31st, Komaki completed his final track work ride at the Ritto Training Center, expressing his satisfaction with a smile, saying, "I gave it my all and had a great final morning work."

Komaki rode two horses from trainer Kazuhide Sasada's stable and was presented with a whip from Sasada to commemorate his departure. Komaki expressed his excitement for his new chapter, stating, "I'm in peak physical condition, and I'm determined to make a strong impact at Hyogo. The next time I come back to Ritto, it might be as a helper," he added with a characteristic touch of humour, showing his enthusiasm for the upcoming challenge.
