Peisha Es, the fifth favourite, claimed a brilliant last-to-first victory in the G3 Elm Stakes, securing his third graded stakes win since the Jpn 2 Nagoya Grand Prix in December 2022. The favourite, Dura Erede, finished second, and the tenth favourite, T O Drefong, took third place.

Peisha Es was positioned strategically behind the leading runners, and made his move from a promising spot. In the final stretch, Dura Erede broke away from second place, but Peisha Es, just behind, accelerated rapidly. Near the finish line, Peisha Es overtook Dura Erede to cross the finish line first.

Jockey Kazuo Yokoyama was delighted, stating, "The horse's condition was excellent this time, and I was able to approach the race with confidence. I think I managed to read the race well and guide the horse effectively." Reflecting on his career, Yokoyama expressed deep emotion, noting that his first graded stakes win was the Elm Stakes in 2018, adding, "I am very pleased to win here at Sapporo Racecourse again, just as I did on that day."
