This week marks the opening meet Chukyo, with races scheduled at Niigata, Chukyo, and Sapporo Racecourses. Two graded-stakes races are set to take place.
On Sunday, August 11th, the G3 Kokura Kinen will be held at Chukyo Racecourse. The race will feature prominent three-year-olds Sirius Colt, Costa Bonita, who won the G3 Fukushima Himba Stakes two races ago, and Deep Monster, aiming for his first graded stakes victory.
On the same day at Niigata Racecourse, the G3 Sekiya Kinen will take place. The line-up Sakura Toujours, who won the competitive G3 Tokyo Shimbun Hai, Di Speranza, the G3 Arlington Cup winner, and Parallel Vision, who triumphed in the G3 Lord Derby Challenge Trophy.
