The race favourite, Reframing, claimed a dominant victory with a course record time of 1:56.5, capturing his first graded stakes win. Costa Bonita, the fourth favourite, finished second, while the second favourite, Deep Monster, secured third place.

T O Sirius set a fast pace, passing the 1,000-meter mark in the 57-second range. Despite the quick tempo, Reframing, who had been patiently held towards the back of the pack, made a strong move in the final stretch. He was guided to the outside by jockey Yuga Kawada, where he swiftly overtook the frontrunners.

Reflecting on the race, Kawada said, "I'm just relieved that we managed to secure the win safely." He spoke about the performance on the opening week track, saying, "The race was run at a good pace, and I focused on keeping the horse in a good rhythm throughout. It's important to respect this horse's own pace." He added with a smile, "Above all, I'm extremely proud that we were able to win this graded stakes race."
