The Shergar Cup, a team competition featuring 12 of the world's top jockeys, was held on August 10th at Ascot Racecourse in the UK. Representing Japan for the second time since 2019, Nanako Fujita competed as a member of the "Rest of the World" team. Unfortunately, she went without a winner from her five rides, and her team finished in third place.

Reflecting on the event, Fujita said, "While the other two members of my team secured victories, I wasn't able to contribute much to the points tally, which is disappointing. I realized that I still have a lot to improve from a technical standpoint. I'll use this experience to continue working hard and aim for better performances when I return to Japan."

The overall team competition was won by the "Ladies Team," with Hayley Turner from the same team earning the Silver Saddle Award for the top point-scoring jockey.
