Yutaka Take and Christophe Lemaire at the conference

The Asian Racing Conference in Sapporo continued on the 28th with an exhibition session featuring JRA jockeys Yutaka Take and Christophe Lemaire, where they discussed topics such as the use of the whip, the mobile game Uma Musume, horse racing fans, and retired racehorses. Yutaka Take, reflecting on his 38-year career as a jockey, passionately stated, "In my time as a jockey, Japanese horse racing has made tremendous progress and evolved significantly. Japan should strive to be, and indeed must become, a leading figure in the global racing scene, not just within Asia."

When asked about his dreams, Lemaire responded, "Right now, my focus is on winning the next race. Looking ahead to next year, my goal is to be the leading jockey. In five years, I aim to win the G1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. In the future, I want to support and promote the horse racing industry. I hope that horse racing in Japan can reach the same level of recognition and status as baseball."
