On September 8th, the International G3 Korea Cup at Seoul Racecourse saw Crown Pride, ridden by jockey Takeshi Yokoyama, take the lead from the jump and pull away from the field to secure the victory in a time of 1:51.8.

Wilson Tesoro finished in second place, with local contender Global Hit taking third. Light Warrior had a slow start and finished fourth.

Crown Pride, by Reach the Crown out of Emmy's Pride (by King Kamehameha), made history by becoming the second horse to achieve back-to-back Korea Cup wins, following London Town in 2017 and 2018. Additionally, trainer Koichi Shintani completed a rare double, achieving consecutive wins in both the Korea Sprint and Korea Cup.
