Stars On Earth is approaching the form that led to her third-place finish in last year's G1 Japan Cup. Paired once again with jockey Yuga Kawada, who guided her to victory in the Oka Sho, she took to the woodchip track at Miho Training Center for a sharp workout. She smoothly moved inside her stablemates on the final turn and powered ahead in the stretch, clocking a time of 6F 81.3, 36.6, and a final furlong in 11.3 seconds, pulling away from Represent and Zarzarrosa at the finish.
The G1 Japan Cup will be her first start since finishing eighth in the Dubai Sheema Classic. Trainer Mizuki Takayanagi noted, "In Dubai, she was consistently drifting to the right, and we've seen similar tendencies recently. Today, we wanted the jockey to get a sense of this and assess her overall condition. Her movement was good, and he was able to feel that drift we've been working on." Takayanagi expressed satisfaction with her preparation, adding, "She's improved significantly since last week's workout and is in similar shape to last year. If we can continue refining these areas, she'll be ready for the race."
