G1 Satsuki Sho winner Justin Milano (3-year-old colt) has been officially retired as of the 14th, following a diagnosis of a mild tendon injury in his right foreleg discovered in October. Justin Milano will stand at stud at Breeders Stallion Station in Hidaka, Hokkaido, and his racing registration is set to be terminated on the 15th.
Trainer Yasuo Tomomichi reflected, "His race record of three wins from four starts, including two graded stakes victories, was impressive. He also put in a strong effort in the Japanese Derby. While it's disappointing that his career ends here, I believe he has great potential as a sire and hope he can pass his strengths onto his offspring."
