This week features racing at two tracks, Chukyo and Nakayama, with two graded stakes races scheduled.
The highlight of the weekend is the G1 Sprinters Stakes on Sunday, September 29, at Nakayama Racecourse. This marks the first race of the autumn G1 series, with notable contenders including last year's champion Mama Cocha, Satono Reve, who comes off back-to-back graded stakes victories, Namura Clair, a winner of four sprint graded stakes, and Mad Cool, the Takamatsunomiya Kinen victor.
On Saturday, September 28, the G3 Sirius Stakes will be held at Chukyo Racecourse. Key entries include Omega Guiness, who dominated the Sannomiya Stakes, Hapi, who finished a close second in the Heian Stakes two starts ago, and Loco Por Ti, coming off consecutive wins in a 3 Win Class and the Heijokyo Stakes.
In NAR Regional Racing, three dirt graded races are scheduled. On Monday, September 23, Kanazawa Racecourse hosts the Jpn 3 Hakusan Daishoten, featuring Teio Sho third-place finisher Diktaean. On Wednesday, September 25, Funabashi Racecourse will hold the Jpn 2 Nihon TV Hai, with Dubai World Cup runner-up Ushba Tesoro expected to race. Finally, on Thursday, September 26, Funabashi will also host the Jpn 3 Marine Cup, which includes Tokyo Derby third-place finisher Ammothyella.
