Last year's G1 Sprinters Stakes champion, Mama Cocha, showed promising form in her final track work on the slope course at Ritto Training Center on the 25th. After disappointing in her next two starts following her first G1 victory, she signalled a return to form with a runner-up finish in the Centaur Stakes. Having shaken off her previous slump, her condition has been steadily improving, and she looks ready to defend her title.

During the workout, Mama Cocha was held back behind another horse to teach her patience. When jockey Yuga Kawada asked to quicken, she responded well, showing a strong finishing kick and effortlessly passing her stablemate at the end. She clocked 53.5 seconds for 4F, with splits of 39.2 and 12.2 seconds for the final furlong. With the Centaur Stakes under her belt, her condition has noticeably improved, and she is in great shape heading into her title defence.
