"The JRA 70th Anniversary Commemorative Ceremony" was held at a hotel in Tokyo on September 30th and was attended by about 330 members and people related to horse racing. Certificates of appreciation and commemorative gifts were presented to those who have contributed to the development of JRA and the promotion of horse racing.
Teruya Yoshida, representative of Shadai Farm, attended the ceremony as acting President of the Japan Racing Horse Association. "Nowadays, Japanese horse racing is recognized around the world. I think this is the result of the support of the fans and the people involved responding to their wishes and raising the level of competition in the sport".
When asked about the prospects for this year's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, he replied, "Many people overseas are saying that Shin Emperor has potential and I am looking forward to it. However, both German and Irish horses have won the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and the key is the condition of the track at the time. I think that Take's horse has a good chance, too," he said.
