Sent-off favourite, Sixpence was guided by Christophe Lemaire to win Sunday's G2 Mainichi Okan at Tokyo Racecourse. Ho O Biscuits finished second, a neck behind the winner, and Elton Barows came home in third, 3/4 lengths behind Ho O Biscuits. The winning time was 1:45.1.

Sixpence is a son of Kizuna out of Finley'sluckycharm, by Twirling Candy. He bounced back from a 9th-place finish in the G1 Japanese Derby to win his second graded stakes title. With this victory, he also earned an entry spot in the G1 Tenno Sho (Autumn).
