On October 6th, in Race 12 at Tokyo Racecourse, the Three-Year-Olds and Up, 2 Wins Class, Christophe Lemaire rode the 4-year-old colt Bold Zone to victory. This win marked trainer Tetsuya Kimura's 400th career win in the Japan Racing Association (JRA).

Born in 1972, Tetsuya Kimura is the trainer of some of the top horses in Japan, including Equinox, ranked No. 1 in the 2023 World's Best Racehorse Rankings, and this year's Japanese Oaks winner, Cervinia. He has accumulated 31 graded stakes wins (29 in Japan and 2 overseas).

Tetsuya Kimura's comment

"I believe 400 wins is an incredibly significant number. When I think back to when I started my career, it's a figure I could hardly imagine. I owe this milestone to my family, staff, and all the people involved who have supported me throughout. I will continue to do my best to fulfil my responsibilities, albeit modestly, so that we can bring joy to the fans in the future."
