Trainer Joseph Lee, who oversees the U.S.-based May Day Ready, visited the Ritto Training Center on December 5. During his visit, he toured the training facilities and stopped by the stables of Koichi Tsunoda and Yasuo Tomomichi.
At Tomomichi's stable, Lee also had a chance to observe the reigning 2023 Arima Kinen champion, Do Deuce. "Due to quarantine protocols, I could only observe from a distance, but he looks to be a well-built horse with great size. His coat is also impressive," Lee said with admiration.
Reflecting on the condition of May Day Ready, who completed his final track work on December 2, Lee expressed confidence. "He has maintained a very good demeanour even after his workout. Personally, I think he's an exceptional horse, and I'm eager to see him deliver his best performance."
