Setsunasa (Colt, 2yo, by Saturnalia), who debuts in Saturday's Nakayama Racecourse Race 5 (1800m turf), is out of Horologist, a triple graded stakes triple winner in the U.S., and was sold for a lofty 210 million JPY (before tax) at the 2024 Yearling Select Sale. He initially entered the stable during the summer but was given plenty of time to develop. In his final piece of work on the Miho Training Center woodchip track, he clocked 6F in 85.7, 38.5, and 11.7.

"He doesn't have a sharp finishing kick, but he has plenty of stamina. He's quick from the gate. It wouldn't be surprising at all if he goes forward and keeps going," said trainer Ryo Takei, expressing confidence in a winning debut.
