Selberg with Kohei Matsuyama on board won the G3 Chukyo Kinen. The pair paced the race and led all the way to the finish line, holding off the challenge made by Divina by one and 1/2 length. Rouge Stiria finished in third after Divina.

Selberg is a son of Epiphaneia out of Enachan, by Kinshasa no Kiseki. He finished 12th in his previous start in the Yonago Stakes after a disadvantaged start, but won this graded stakes in smooth style.
