Trainer Makoto Saito and jockey Arata Saito, a father-son duo, will aim for their first Graded stakes victory with World Tachyon in the dirt G3 Elm Stakes held at a Sapporo racecourse.

World Tachyon is a son of Asia Express out of Anaconda, by Fusaichi Concorde. During his previous stint in the JRA, he had only one race before being sidelined. But, after a year of rest, he made a comeback at Sonoda Racecourse. There, he impressed with eight wins in as many starts, prompting his return to the JRA. Subsequently, he continued his dominance by securing victories in one-win, two-wins, and three-wins class races. Now, he faces his first Graded stakes challenge, and his untapped potential makes him an intriguing contender. Despite facing tougher competition, he cannot be underestimated.

Asia Express progeny have previously attempted JRA graded stakes 3 times, with the best result being Medieval's 8th place finish in last week's Ibis Summer Dash. As for the father-son team of Makoto Saito and Arata Saito, they have accumulated 33 wins in JRA races, but their best result in graded stakes has been a third-place finish by Once Sky in the 20th Aoi Stakes. Fans are hopeful that this time, they will finally achieve their long-awaited first graded stakes victory in the Elm Stakes.
