Akatsuki Tomita guided T M Spada to victory in the G2 Centaur Stakes. This is Tomita's first graded title in his career. Aguri finished second and Smart Courage came home in third.

T M Spada won the entry spot in the G1 Sprinters Stakes which will be run in October. This is her first graded stakes title after winning G3 CBC Sho last year and she came back to the winner's circle after seven disappointing starts.

Winning jockey Tomita commented "I was nervous before the race because it was a G2 race. I am happy that I was able to win for the trainer Kihara because he will retire in a year." On his first winner in the graded stakes, he reflected "I hope this victory will lead to a better future for me. I am thankful for all the connections for this opportunity and will continue to work hard."
