Elton Barows, with Atsuya Nishimura aboard, won in a thrilling finish, to make it back-to-back graded stakes titles after winning the G3 Radio NIKKEI Sho in July. The pair broke away from the pack in the final two furlongs and held off the late challenge made by the favourite of the race Songline by a nose. Schnell Meister, who was blocked to run up front in the homestretch, came home in third after Christophe Lemaire brought him outside to find room to push forward. The winning time was 1:45.3.

Elton Barows is a son of Deep Brillante out of Shonan Carat, by Brian's Time. This victory marked the fourth consecutive win for him and back-to-back graded stakes titles.
