Liberty Island completed her journey to the triple tiara with a sensational win in the G1 Shuka Sho last Sunday, becoming only the seventh filly in Japanese horse racing history to complete the feat.

Northern Farm's Katsumi Yoshida reflected "The race was perfect. I knew she was going to win it all." Manager of the owners' group Sunday Racing, Shunsuke Yoshida added "She made us proud from the fourth corner to the finish line. It was such a strong finish. Distance will not be a concern for the Japan Cup. I will discuss her future plans with her trainer and a jockey."
