Ropa Chic, a 2-year-old filly by Epiphaneia and half-sister to the 2018 G1 Arima Kinen winner Blast Onepiece, will make her debut in Sunday's Race 5 (1800m turf) at Sapporo. In her final track work at Hakodate, she clocked 52.5 seconds for 4 furlongs, with the last 3 furlongs in 37.5 seconds and a final furlong in 12.1 seconds.

Trainer Masahiro Ohtake, after observing her movement, commented, "She was quite calm during the workout. She's in good condition to show her ability. She resembles her siblings. Her strength lies in her mindset."
